Last week we were able to go back up to our old stomping grounds, DC. It is always a blast to go back and see friends and one of my brothers still lives up there, extra bonus. This time when we went, Wesley and I played tourists a bit. We rode the Metro a ton and went to see the White House, Washington Monument and of course the ZOO. It was fun showing Wesley some of the places that we use to live, I know he won’t remember, someday we will do it all again. I have to brag on myself for one second, I found myself telling a couple of taxi drivers shorter ways to get places and it made me feel like I was a true local.

I used to work in Georgetown and it is still one of my favorite places to visit. Everything about that part of the city is perfect, it makes me feel like I am downtown Charleston or just in the south in general. It was about 90 degrees the day we ventured to Georgetown and I was so thankful I had this off the shoulder top on. I was able to soak up some sun rays also on my shoulders. If you haven’t figured it out already, I own these shorts in 2 colors, I have them in blue (you can see here) and also black (above). I bought the light blue pair first and when we were in Paris last month I picked them up in black. Can’t say how much I love the high waisted detailing and just he overall comfort of them.
